Our client is currently seeking an experienced SQL Developer to join a dynamic team within the Health Systems and Analytics Division. This role is responsible for developing applications and ensuring seamless integration using the Microsoft SQL server platform. The successful candidate will be pivotal in providing technical and production support, business intelligence, data analysis, and reporting. This position requires a proactive approach to capturing requirements, testing, monitoring, and implementing solutions through a structured software development life cycle. The role is based in a collaborative environment where mentoring and training less experienced analysts is key.
Responsibilities:
Provide Analytics support to the Health Systems and Analytics Division, focusing on optimizing and maintaining data integrity. Design and develop comprehensive reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and manage ETL packages in Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Participate actively in meetings with project managers, team leads, analysts, and other staff to ensure alignment and progress on projects. Assist in mentoring and training business analysts to enhance team capabilities and knowledge sharing. Write, test, and deploy SQL code and patches ensuring high-quality measures and performance across various databases. Engage in schema design, code reviews, and SQL query tuning to optimize system performance. Develop and maintain advanced SQL scripts for database management and data analytics, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, or Data Analytics. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in high-tech industry and/or IT, with a strong focus on SQL Server development. Proficiency in using SSIS 2016 or higher and SSRS. Strong experience with SQL Server Management Studio and Microsoft Office suite. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work on multiple projects, both independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a critical thinking mindset. Experience in mentoring and leading teams is highly desirable. Availability to start immediately or at short notice is preferred.
