They maintain, operate, troubleshoot, and repair DataCenter Operation’s Mission Critical Facilities, which includesstand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems, 3 phaseelectrical systems that include but not limited to switchgear,UPSs, PDUs, wet cell batteries and associated systems, CRAC,centrifugal chillers, cooling towers/water chemical system, airhandlers and associated systems, pumps, & motors. Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, generator, andfire/life safety equipment within the data center
  • Troubleshootfacility equipment and rack-level events within internal SLAs
  • Perform limited maintenance tasks to including filter changes, HVACPMs, rack power installs, rack PDU, and rack ATS replacements
  • Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians
  • Performroot cause analysis of equipment failures
  • Ensure all safetyprocedures are adhered to while performing work
  • Write procedures
  • Work a 12 hour shift (rotating 3 and 4 day work weeks days ornights)
  • Take daily operational readings of all mechanical andelectrical equipment through routine rounds/log to include but notlimited to temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.
  • Utilizeinternal CMMS to manage building workflows and spare part inventory
  • Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventivemaintenance
  • Respond to off hour emergency calls per on callrotation for any one of the region’s sites
  • Fully comply with allphysical security procedures and policies
  • Drive innovation whilereducing operational costs in the facilities
  • Manipulate smallwires and objects Perform the following tasks, with or withoutreasonable accommodation:
  • Walk job sites in uneven terrain
  • Workat heights and from ladders
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 39pounds; and participate in group lifts for 40 pounds or more
  • Bendor twist the body into unusual positions while working
  • Push orpull heavy objects into position
  • Work in noisy environments Thisposition requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen andobtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance withpolygraph.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4 years ofmaintenance and repair experience on mechanical and electricalequipment.
  • Experience operating electrical and mechanical systemsin a mission critical environment (i.e. Data Center, telecom,etc.).
  • Familiar with building management systems(BMS/EPMS).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 years of data center engineeringexperience
  • Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering,Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline
  • 4 years of DataCenter Engineering Experience and fundamental knowledge of networkdesign and layout as well as low voltage (copper/ fiber) cabling
  • Familiar with BMS and EPMS control systems and datacollection/trending and proficient with maintenance managementsoftware
  • Operating engineering license(s) such as
DC II, DC
