Nesco Data Center & Infrastructure is seeking a Data CenterNetwork Technician in the Greater Norwalk CT Area. We are seeking askilled Data Center Network Technician with experience in datacenters and fiber optics to provide on-site technical support,troubleshooting, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will assistwith hardware installations, network configurations, cablemanagement, and fiber optic troubleshooting in a fast-paced ITenvironment.
Shift:
Weds/Thurs from 6am-2pm & Fri/Sat from 6am-6pm
Pay:
$30-36/hr
Job Responsibilities:
Experience maintaining fiber,network cabling, managing switch and router configurations, andtroubleshooting network issues. Working with the Lead and Manager,tickets will be triaged as they are assigned and completed onschedule. Client’s ticketing system must be monitored,acknowledged, and updated in real time using the provideddocumentation. Must be able to work the provided shift which couldchange based on the customer’s contractual needs. Tasks involverack and Stack, configuring and connecting new servers orappliances, rebooting servers or appliances, checking statuslights, doing inventories and escorts, etc. Must complete allinternal and customer provided training without delay. May berequired to be on daily meetings with the client, our internal Leador Manager to discuss open or completed tickets. Possess positiveattitude and strong analytical skills Must be a self-starter who isable to work independently without supervision and within a teamenvironment Must possess a professional demeanor and the ability todevelop effective working relationships with end users andstakeholders. Perform visual inspection of third-party equipmentsuch as carrier or provider network equipment Provide faultisolation and break/fix activities for the in-scope data centerequipment (servers, backup, storage) and network devices (includingnetwork sniffer, vulnerability scanners and security sensors)Provide fault isolation for network devices (including networksniffer, vulnerability scanners and security sensors) Perform allnetwork cable and jack testing Perform all cable patching asrequired Provide after-hours support (during critical changeactivities) for critical network upgrades and maintenance Performend-to-end network patching Nesco Resource offers a comprehensivebenefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (MinimumEssential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental,401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
