Job Description

Operations Support Technician (OPS) 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars Tallahassee, FL Department Northwest Regional Data Center (NWRDC) Responsibilities Team is responsible for data center security first. We monitor all systems, phone calls and monitor access lists ensuring data center security. Walkthroughs ensuring no alarming equipment This position is responsible for the operation of the computing complexes at NWRDC, monitoring all environmental systems and building security. Answer all incoming calls to the data center and help solve customer problems over the phone. Route customer problems to the appropriate staff member or department. Monitor environmental systems and building security. Notify appropriate personnel in the event of an equipment failure or breach of security. Assist customers while on-site. Ensure all visitors are logged in and out of the building. Work with vendors and data center personnel to resolve hardware and software problems. Other duties as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalency Helpful Who is an ideal candidate for this position? The ideal candidate for this position is someone who doesn’t mind working weekends. What is a typical day in this position? A typical day in this position is doing security monitoring, answering phone calls, and doing walkthroughs.
