Data Center PSC Capacity Engineer Location :
Remote About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center PSC (Power, Space, Cooling) Capacity Engineer to support daily infrastructure deployment requests across our data centers. This role involves evaluating installation requests, ensuring alignment with available PSC resources, and maintaining operational efficiency through strategic layout optimization and documentation. You will work closely with PSC Capacity Engineers and manage a portfolio of facilities within a designated territory. Responsibilities Review and approve data center equipment installation requests based on PSC availability. Utilize enterprise tools to assess power, space, and cooling capacity. Maintain and update floor plans, rack layouts, and power assignments. Optimize data center layout for airflow, scalability, and power distribution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including planning, facilities, and vendors. Ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards, including NEC. Support PSC resource forecasting and balancing to maintain optimal performance.
Minimum Qualifications Experience:
5-7 years in data center engineering , critical facilities management, or related infrastructure environments.
Technical Expertise:
Deep understanding of AC/DC power systems (UPS, generators, ATS, switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, BDFB, BDCBB). Proficiency in overhead bus ducting systems and NEMA receptacle types. Experience in sizing fuses, circuit breakers, and secondary power feeds. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including
CRAC/CRAH
units, chillers, pumps, and cooling towers. Familiarity with airflow management, hot/cold aisle containment, and cooling zones. Hands-on experience with DCIM tools (e.g., Sunbird DC Track). Knowledge of structured cabling systems (fiber/copper).
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent attention to detail and documentation practices. Effective communication and collaboration across teams. Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks. Strong time management in high-pressure, 24/7 environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience in PSC resource forecasting and balancing. Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
