POSITION SUMMARY

An M365 Application Analyst is responsible for managing and supporting the organization’s Microsoft 365 suite of applications, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams. They handle user accounts, permissions, troubleshooting, security, and overall system performance. This role also involves integrating O365 applications with other systems, developing solutions for business needs, and providing support to end-users.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administration and Support:

Manage user accounts, configure and maintain mailboxes, SharePoint sites, and OneDrive storage.

Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

Diagnose and resolve issues with Office 365 applications, including email routing, collaboration tools, and syncing.

Security and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with Office 365 security protocols, including Azure Information Protection and Exchange Online Protection.

System Monitoring and Optimization:

Monitor system performance, implement updates, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

Integration and Customization:

Support integration of Office 365 applications with other institutional systems, and implement custom solutions for specific business needs.

User Support and Training:

Provide guidance and support to end-users on using Office 365 applications.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain documentation on procedures and processes, and generate reports on system usage and performance.

Project Management:

Participate in M365-related projects and drive the continuous development and improvement of applications.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work with stakeholders to coordinate and implement changes and projects.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/ SKILLS
Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.

Problem-solving and Analytical Skills:

Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, analyze data, and develop solutions.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.

Experience with scripting and automation:

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for Office 365 administration tasks is often preferred. Experience with

Active Directory and Azure Active Directory:

Knowledge of these identity management systems is also beneficial.
