USD Hourly Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Oracle DBA 5+ years of experience in Oracle WebLogic 14 Application Server Administration. 5+ years of experience in Oracle Fusion Middleware administration, including WebLogic Application Server, Tomcat, Confluent, Kafka, and Apex. Apply patches and perform upgrades of middleware components in a controlled manner. Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and system administrators to support application deployments.

AWS Administration:

3+ years of AWS administration experience, including API Gateway, S3, ECS, EKS, Fargate, EC2, Lambda, WAF, and CloudTrail. 3+ years of experience deploying Infrastructure as Code using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform. 3+ years of experience working in an environment with automated CI/CD pipelines.

Technical Skills:

Excellent troubleshooting and root cause-analysis skills. Excellent working knowledge of Windows and Linux server technologies. Experience working with third-party service providers such as vendors and internal support groups. Ability to exercise independent judgment in driving technical problems to resolution. Ability to plan and implement change for enterprise systems and adhere to standard change management processes. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Desired Qualifications/Non-Essential Skills:

Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle WebLogic Server 12c Administrator Certification Overview. 3-5 years of Unix/Linux System Administration experience. Experience administering Apex, Apache, and Confluent Middleware platforms. Experience working in an outsourced/managed services environment with some client-facing responsibilities (e.g., technical discussions with the client). Familiarity with Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket) and other DevOps tools. Strong working knowledge of Local and Wide area networking technologies. Experience supporting fast-paced development environments utilizing Agile and DevOps methodologies. Ability to communicate complex technical information to less technical staff (e.g., management and client staff). Strong understanding of broader technology context (e.g., network and database technologies). Ability to mentor other team members in areas of technical expertise. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical outages.
