SQL BI Developer and ETL Digital Earth 6901 Professional Parkway East, Sarasota, FL 34240 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and a passion for problem solving. We are looking for an individual that has a solid foundational understanding of Microsoft technologies and is excited about the exposure we offer to these latest technologies. Duties The Data Science aspect of the job requires: Extensive understanding of MS SQL Server SQL query language. This position will have a heavy focus on SQL queries, understanding existing data models and assisting in creating new ones per the functional requests Creating data models in Microsoft SQL Views or Store Procedures to surface data for users to consume Report building using various tools and an ability to demonstrate competence in that area. Examples are SSRS reports, Solver data warehouse reporting, Jet reporting, Power BI An understanding of the Microsoft Fabric components A solid understanding of ETL – otherwise known as middleware or orchestration software We work with many ETL tools, and we write our own The IT aspect of the job requirements Promoting software that has been developed to the proper environment diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues to ensure customer systems are operational. Documenting problems and resolutions for future reference and contributing to a knowledge base. Escalating complex issues to senior technical staff or other departments when necessary. Ensuring all issues are properly logged and accurately tracked through a ticketing system. Skills Understanding of relational database concepts and their relevance in data science projects. Ability to design effective ETL processes for efficient data handling. Proficiency in Microsoft platforms such as Azure, Remote Desktop, Active Directory (Entra) General business acumen, any ERP software experience a plus Aptitude in problem solving, we are looking a clever and ambitious person Experience with analytical tools and methodologies for data interpretation.
