Data Center Technician Sira Consulting Inc Douglasville, GA Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Data Center Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the infrastructure of our data center, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role requires a strong understanding of networking, equipment repair, and electrical systems, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Install, configure, and maintain network equipment and servers within the data center. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on data center equipment. Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues as they arise. Assist with network installation projects, ensuring proper setup of Ethernet connections. Collaborate with IT staff to implement upgrades and new technologies. Read and interpret schematics to assist in troubleshooting and repairs. Utilize power tools safely for equipment installation and maintenance tasks. Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed, including repairs and installations. Skills Proficient in Ethernet networking concepts and practices. Experience with equipment repair in a data center environment. Knowledge of network installation procedures and best practices. Familiarity with Avaya systems is a plus. Strong background in IT support with an emphasis on electrical systems. Ability to work with telephone systems and related technologies. Competent in reading schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Proficient in using power tools for installation and maintenance tasks.
