Role:
As a CBRE Data Center Technician, you will perform preventativemaintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Centeroperation. This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services jobfunction. They are responsible for technical maintenance servicesin critical client environments.
What You’ll Do:
Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical &Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicingand maintenance. Ensure the site’s environmental conditions provide a safe workenvironment. React to Building Management System alarms, and completeemergency repairs as needed. Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance withcompany-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable lawsand regulations. Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn’t meet allrequirements per the Master Service Agreement. Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactivemaintenance on all equipment. Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond toHVAC-related client problems. Building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU’sand utilities. Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects. Complete assigned work according to established processes andprocedures. Follow all safety processes and requirements and ensureall regulatory requirements and quality standards are met. Conductroutine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records. Complete all required training to ensure successful completionof all job-related responsibilities. Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems whilehaving a limited opportunity to exercise discretion. Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks aredescribed in detail. Deliver own output by following defined procedures andprocesses under close supervision and guidance.
What You’ll Need:
Training in a Technical discipline having served anapprenticeship or equivalent with 1-2 years of job-relatedexperience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience andeducation will be considered. Ability to work shifts that mayinclude weekends and holidays Must be able to Meet the physical requirements of thisrole. To effectively present information to an internal department,client, management and/or colleagues. Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in theapplication of work. Communication skills to exchange straightforwardinformation. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examplesinclude Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset. Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such aspercentages, discounts, and markups.
