Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced ETL Development Lead to design and develop enterprise data solutions for insurance and reinsurance systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data architecture, data warehousing, ETL processes, and business intelligence frameworks
, working with development teams to integrate data from various insurance applications into a unified data warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Architecture & Design:
Architect and design comprehensive data warehouse solutions
, sourcing data from multiple insurance and reinsurance policy, treaty, claim, and financial systems
.
Data Integration & ETL Development:
Design and implement source-to-target mappings optimized for high-volume data integration
, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Data Modeling:
Create logical and physical data models and implement them on SQL Server platforms to support enterprise-wide reporting.
Business Intelligence:
Develop and tune semantic layer reporting views
, facilitating effective data discovery sessions with business subject matter experts
.
SQL Development & Optimization:
Write SQL-based solutions for data validation, dashboard development
, and performance optimization of ETL mappings and stored procedures.
Collaboration & Implementation:
Work closely with the development team to ensure accurate translation of mappings into production-ready code.
System Enhancement & Troubleshooting:
Troubleshoot and optimize SQL Server and Informatica mappings
, ensuring high-performance data processing

Stakeholder Engagement:
Participate in release planning
, support reporting teams, and ensure seamless integration with existing insurance and financial applications
.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
10+ years of data architecture and design experience
3+ years of experience within the Insurance and Reinsurance domain
Advanced experience with extracting data from insurance applications
Expertise in Data Warehousing, ETL, and BI architectures
Strong knowledge of RDBMS platforms (SQL Server, DB2) and DDL generation
Proficiency with Guidewire Policy Center, Guidewire Claims Center, SAP
FS-CD, SAP FI-GL
Nice to
Have:
Experience in facilitating data discovery sessions involving business experts
Ability to create semantic reporting views for optimized business intelligence
Strong understanding of release management and deployment validation
Hands-on experience in data governance and compliance for insurance systems
