Overview :

The Computer Operations Supervisor serves as the technical/managerial leader for a work shift and is responsible for the management of the data center and associated computer systems, including monitoring CPU performance, system processes, memory and server capacity, system events/alerts, schedules and priorities. In addition to making sure tasks such as data backups, system upgrades, and system administrative work are carried out regularly. This position involves frequent decision-making skills. Individual will be responsible for identifying problems and taking appropriate action to ensure timely and error free service to the businesses being supported by the Intralot National Data Center. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Minimum 3 years Data Center / Operations experience Familiarity with both Linux and Windows operating systems Understanding of basic Linux commands, and command line processing Working knowledge of computer terminology in data processing Ability to follow written and oral instructions Ability to read and understand technical publications Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others Must be able to communicate and write effectively Must be available to work overtime as needed. This includes after hours, weekends and holidays Must be willing to accept a high level of accountability, including 24x7x7 cell phone support for management and team members. Duties and Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Sr. Operations Manager, performs the following duties and responsibilities. Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned. Establish or maintain a working knowledge of Data Center policies and procedures to include production control run schedules. Maintain a working knowledge system platforms and hardware configurations. Maintain a working knowledge of Enterprise Network Monitoring Tools. Monitor all platforms for outstanding system messages, report issues and escalate as needed. Monitor the status of customer request and responses. Managing the system incidents and following defined escalation procedures..etc Monitoring building security, computer room. Maintain a working knowledge of facility and infrastructure. Maintain Data Center logs and forms.
