Woburn, MA. Administer databases, performance tune, and perform migration, backup and recovery, and scripting. Support critical database infrastructure. Review database capacity, scalability, security, software, installation, standards, logs, errors. Develop automated site switchover and failover solutions. Maintain documentation, identify problems, satisfy client/user needs, recommend database modifications, and formulate test plans. Use Oracle, Golden Gate, IPDL, DBMS, RDBMS, Sun Solaris, RHEL, PL/SQL, Unix, Shell, Python, GUI, IPCenter, OEM, Precise, Patrol foglight, Autosys, RMAN, NetIQ, CyberArk, Hashicorp Password Vault, Tivoli, Team Quest, Tableau, Toad, Putty, SQL, SQL Trace, HPDMA, DLA, Wide-ip, Datical, Radical, SQL Server, LDAP, TKPROF, EXPLAIN PLAN, AWR, Tuning Advisor, RAC, Jira, ITSM, Nexus, BMC Remedy, Maximo, ServiceNow. 40 hrs/wk. Must have Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years experience in the proffered position or as a Developer, Software Engineer, Technology Analyst, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in the specified fields plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the specified occupations. Must have 2 years of experience performance tuning; performing migration, backup and recovery, scripting, testing; supporting critical database infrastructure; reviewing database capacity, security, logs, errors; developing automated site switchover and failover solutions; using Oracle, Golden Gate, IPDL, RMAN, SQL, SQL Trace, TKPROF, EXPLAIN PLAN, AWR, Tuning Advisor, RAC.
