Position Overview:

We are seeking a Database Administrator I with a strong technical background in Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) and Video Management Systems (VMS)
. This role requires hands-on experience with system programming, troubleshooting, and component testing in a security-focused environment. The ideal candidate will possess solid problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical teams and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Physical Access Control System (PACS) access points and security components including readers, monitor points, and output devices.
Configure and manage Video Management Systems (VMS) such as network video recorders (NVRs), IP cameras, and analytics software.
Apply structured troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and resolve malfunctions in PACS and VMS components.
Test and validate the functionality of security system components using field testing tools to ensure full operational status.
Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to communicate project task updates, timelines, and technical challenges.
Maintain documentation and logs related to programming changes, testing procedures, and troubleshooting outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience programming access points and security devices within a PACS environment

Hands-on experience with Video Management Systems
, including camera and NVR configuration.
Proficiency in security system testing and validation methodologies.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in physical security environments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to support collaboration and status reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with security system integration

Familiarity with security industry standards and compliance requirements.
Relevant certifications in PACS, VMS, or database/system administration.
