Role Overview:
Joining our Technology Language Office (TLO), you will work in unison with teams dedicated to Enterprise Architecture, Developer Experience, Infrastructure, and Product Delivery, enhancing our suite of core programming languages. As part of the TLO, your expertise will be instrumental in empowering our developers with enhanced tools and capabilities, leveraging language platforms for cutting-edge application development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mentorship and instructional support to team members on tech tools and methodologies
- Engage in interdisciplinary discussions to evolve technological solutions for our systems
- Develop and refine Python libraries/frameworks for company-wide use
- Collaborate with DevOps to institute effective CI/CD practices for Python codebases
- Generate technical documentation outlining best practices related to Python code stability, monitoring, and observability utilizing tools such as Splunk and Grafana
- Distribute Python-based software and tools to support various initiatives
- Independently identify and implement procedural and technical refinements
- Conduct thorough investigations to address issues affecting system stability and performance
- Offer ongoing support for the Python development environment within the organization
Professional Experience Requirements:
- At least 7 years in diverse technology sectors
- Minimum of 5 years specifically dedicated to Python development
- Advanced experience with ADLS (Azure Data Lake Storage) & Databricks
- Preference for candidates with cloud technology background
- Proficiency with Python frameworks and extensive use of Python libraries
- Demonstrated track record of developing shared libraries for developer use
- DevOps exposure, with expertise in tools such as Github, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Coverity
- Knowledge of package management and code repository governance using tools like Artifactory
- Experience in administering container services including Kubernetes, AKS, etc., both on-premises and cloud-based
- Familiarity with a range of monitoring tools, including Splunk, Grafana, ELK Stack, AppDynamics
Distinguishing Factors:
