Job Description
Description Our client is a non-profit insurance organization headquartered in Raleigh NC. They are looking to hire a DB2 Database Administrator that can assist with operational work like system upgrades, performance tuning, and patching. An ideal candidate will also have knowledge or interest in SQL Server, as that is something the team is looking to adopt later down the road. This person should come from an environment managing DB2 databases on IBM z/OS mainframe. This person will be joining a 5-person team that is responsible for the stability and modernization of the organization’s core database infrastructure. Nice to Have Familiarity with LUW and z/OS mainframe. Familiarity with z/OSMF to manage various aspects of IBM z/OS systems via web browser interface. Exposure to SQL Server or willingness to learn.
