Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join a global team of software engineers supporting high-quality application development in the financial trading industry. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, strong data analysis skills, and a collaborative mindset to deliver scalable and efficient database solutions. Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain complex PL/SQL code including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and views.
Perform performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and stored procedures.
Analyze large datasets and support ETL processes using tools such as SQL Loader.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Work in a Linux environment using basic Unix commands for database operations.
Support database modeling and design efforts.
Contribute to the development of scalable and secure database solutions aligned with business needs.
Communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
8+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.
Strong RDBMS skills including SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and user privileges.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization of database queries.
Proficiency in ETL processes and tools such as SQL Loader.
Familiarity with Linux environments and Unix shell commands.
Experience working in Agile development teams.
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the financial industry, particularly in Capital Markets or Securities Finance.
Knowledge of financial industry terminology and data structures.
Familiarity with Core Java, Python, and scheduling tools such as Control-M.
Experience with AWS cloud services.
Exposure to CI/CD practices and version control for database development.
