MySQL T-SQL Full Job Description Role:

SQL Applications DBA Type :

12 months

Contract Location:

2 days in NYC and 2 days in Jersey City, NJ•onsite mandatory

JOB DESCRIPTION

10+ years in IT, with 8+ years as a SQL Server DBA, including implementation, production support, and migrations. Proven performance tuning skills (server-level and query-level). Deep understanding of SQL Server internals, partitioning, compression, and Always On, mirroring, replication.

Hands-on experience with:

SQL Clustering

SSIS, SSRS, SSAS SQL

Server Security/Permissions Scripting in T-SQL, PowerShell, and/or Python Automation and service improvement projects

Platform & Tools Experience:

Experience with SQL Server on AWS (RDS)•at least 6 months

Bonus:

Experience with MySQL, Linux, and Snowflake Familiarity with ITIL practices and using MS SharePoint for documentation

Soft Skills & Work Ethic:

Strong communication and documentation skills (client-facing role) Demonstrates ownership, initiative, and ability to work independently Able to lead projects or collaborate as part of a team Comfortable with on-call and weekend support, rotating with a global DBA team Experience working with US/UK-based stakeholders Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory): Microsoft SQL Server Certification (latest versions) AWS Certification (Cloud Practitioner or Associate-level) Candidate Background to
