Job Description:
Test, perform quality control, and optimize data performance to guarantee its integrity and dependability. Consult with business unit and technical personnel in regard to data extraction for specific reports. Monitor and refresh data, installing, and testing new releases, and patches. Perform Sybase and SQL code analysis. Fine-tune queries compose Stored Procedures, perform indexing, and other database operations. Perform database design, coding, testing, debugging, and installing. Must adhere to software development methodology. Work with IT partners to examine business requirements and designs. Evaluate and improve the performance of existing Sybase/SQL code. Interact with partners determines the effects of software modifications.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or a related field plus 5 years of progressive responsible experience in a Database Administrator role.
Experience must include:
Installation management of Sybase Server/Replication Server/SQL Server. Performance management of ASE/Sybase Replication/SQL Servers. Fixing production issues and DB maintenance. Managing backups and restore databases. Diagnosing system problems and troubleshooting. Salary $ 175,947 – $190,000.
