Position Summary:
The Data Entry Operator is responsible for accurately inputting, maintaining, and managing company data in digital and hard copy formats. This role supports database administration functions, ensures data integrity, and contributes to database recovery and capacity planning efforts. The position may also involve light development and performance optimization tasks related to data warehousing.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain company databases and data warehouses. Perform regular database backups and recovery operations. Monitor and resolve issues related to database performance and capacity. Participate in capacity planning and assist in development initiatives as needed. Accurately transcribe and enter data into the computer system from handwritten, typed, or printed sources. Review and verify entered data for accuracy, format, and spelling. Cross-check data with originating personnel to confirm accuracy and completeness. Maintain organized records of data in both electronic and hard copy formats. Prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation as required. Create and maintain backup copies of all critical data. Review and correct output from word processing, typesetting, desktop publishing, and graphics software.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree required. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in data entry, data management, or administrative support roles. Proficiency in common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with data management systems and practices preferred.
