7:30 – 4:30, with flexibility for earlier mornings, nights, and weekends as needed. The Development Associate & Database Manager will be a student-centered colleague who embraces our ideal of Gentleman, Scholar, Athlete. The Development Associate & Database Manager is responsible for overall fundraising-data management and support for fundraising efforts in the Alumni & Development Office. Responsibilities for this onsite position include management of all gift entry/processing, acknowledgements, data integrity, reporting, and queries. The successful candidate will ensure that the frontline fundraising team is provided robust support in order to maximize their efforts. This individual will also serve as a welcoming ambassador for MBA and the development team. Position Responsibilities Database Management Manage the Raiser’s Edge fundraising database, constituent records and data integrity in the donor database and digital files, including but not limited to: adding and updating records, correspondence, gift agreements, processing returned mail, conducting data maintenance projects, and managing an electronic filing system Work closely with Alumni & Development staff to ensure data and actions collected from donors are recorded in their records Manage the process of maintaining and updating the database including, but not limited to, performing regular quality checks, annual new student family uploads, obtaining and maintaining constituent email addresses, return address corrections Assist as necessary with the processing of gifts and pledges into the donor database, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality Generate analytic database reports, queries, lists, and manage data requests Support email and direct mail appeals through proper data segmentation and distribution Track appeal data, create queries, generate reports, and pull lists from the database Office & Project Management Provide general administrative support to the Alumni & Development Office Maintain the Alumni & Development Calendar Greet guests and answer the phone Facilitate mailings Assist with donor stewardship, managing tasks related to impact reports, annual endowment reports, gift acknowledgements, and other stewardship efforts Provide organizational support for events and fundraising activities, including mailings, appeals, and donor communications Serve as the primary point of contact with the marketing and communications office to coordinate email communications and other general communications needs as they arise
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum 3 years of professional experience with database systems, data entry, or development; preferably with an independent school or in higher education Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Strong project management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge & RE NXT preferred Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills Excellent computer skills are required, as well as proficiency in G-Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Ability to manage highly confidential personal and financial information. Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
