Our client, a leader in the healthcare industry, is seeking a Release of Information Specialist to join their team. As a Release of Information Specialist, you will be part of the Release of Information Team supporting the safeguarding of protected health information. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Shift:

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday night. 6 pm to 6 am. Dayshift training until proficient to work solo.

What’s the Job?
Process all requests for release of information by locating and retrieving the corresponding protected health information in a timely and efficient manner.
Reproduce the requested information according to Service Level Agreement timeframes and in accordance with authorization and legal requirements.
Identify the status type for the request for information and enter pertinent data into the release of information tracking application.
Verify the accuracy and quality of reproduced work and data entry prior to providing information to the requestor.
Generate cover letters and invoices, and finalize requests in the tracking application upon receipt of payment.
What’s Needed?
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
A minimum of 1-3 years of customer service, records management, or healthcare experience.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding patient information.
High comfort level with computer programs and software; proficiency with data entry functions.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
