Position Type:
Full Time The Data Architect is responsible for designing, creating, deploying, and managing an organization’s data architecture. This role involves ensuring that data systems are scalable, secure, and efficient to meet the business requirements. The Data Architect collaborates with various stakeholders to understand data needs and develops solutions to meet those needs.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain data models, data flow diagrams, and database schemas Troubleshoots problems, identifies and designs possible solutions Cooperate with business counterparts to define requirements for data desired to be provisioned updating defined requirement document templates in partnership with business counterpart Collaborate with the manager to transform business requirements into appropriate schema and data model Ensure design efficiency to minimize data refresh lags between systems to report timely data Deploy data architectures based on the standards set by the manager which drive Suncoast’s data strategy implementation and transform business strategies into information architectures Monitor and optimize database performance, including query optimization and indexing Design the ETL process for extracting data from multiple source systems Establish and integrate best practices into Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistency and quality in data management Stay updated with the latest data technologies and trends, and implement innovative solutions, particularly within the Azure ecosystem Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting the area of expertise. Ensure data systems comply with relevant regulations and standards Attend educational events to increase professional knowledge Complete annual compliance and info security training to understand employees’ role in maintaining effective compliance and security programs
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus 4+ years of experience in data architecture, database management, or a related field Proficiency in Azure cloud database structures, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks Experience with data modeling tools Experience working in a complex data environment Experience making data usable to the end users Strong Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes Ability to prioritize tasks by effectively managing competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management Ability to analyze and resolve difficult and often complex problems or situations Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties
