US HWY 301, Riverview, FL 33578 The community you’ll be caring for : AdventHealth Riverview AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-new hospital in Riverview, which is scheduled to open in 2024. The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at time of opening with space to expand to 202 beds in the future. This $250 million project in Riverview also includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building that will provide community members convenient access to expert care. AdventHealth Riverview will offer a wide range of health care services which includes emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic and women’s care. The role you’ll contribute : This position will report to the President/CEO with leadership oversight at AdventHealth Riverview. This working manager is responsible for the efficient processing of physician applications, for the accurate and timely processing of appointment, reappointment and additional privileges requests, and to provide accurate information to the medical staff leadership to assess competency and grant privileges. The Medical Staff Manager serves as liaison between the hospital and the medical staff, providing service and information regarding their privileges and administrative needs, in a professional and courteous manner. The value you’ll bring to the team : Maintains communication with Administrative Director, Quality and Patient Safety and colleagues for current updates and information related to job assignments Works collaboratively with department staff, both internally and corporately to insure the collection and reporting of accurate and timely data Participates in project planning activities and workflow analyses Manages the Medical Staff database(s) and Intranet program of information received from physician offices regarding address, phone/beeper number changes, and vacation/call schedules. Reviews and provides current information to hospital staff and physicians on a one on one basis and small groups. Maintains confidentiality of security codes and passwords 100% of the time. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed : Supervisory experience including experience in training staff. 2 experience in credentialing and Medical Staff Office functions preferred, may accept other relevant experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Access and PowerPoint Knowledge of The Joint Commission or NCQA regulations Knowledge of Bylaws, Rules and Regulations to serve as resource person to the medical staff and hospital departments.
