And much more! Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Marine Biology, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Ecology or related field.
Five (5) years experience in natural resource planning, program development or management, hydrologic process modeling, simulation modeling, data science, mathematics, or statistics.
One (1) year of supervisory or task leadership experience.
Licenses or Certifications Must possess a valid state driver’s license and obtain a valid Florida driver’s license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion. Key Responsibilities Coordinates the surface water quality monitoring program, including annual budgeting, contracts, invoicing, scheduling, data analyses, monitoring strategies, data QA/QC processes, databases management, uploads and reports to regulatory agencies, and all other aspects of the highly technical program. Analyzes large and complex environmental data sets (structured and unstructured), with strong aptitude for conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis. Conceptualizes complex workflows and builds tools, including clean, efficient code using Python, MATLAB, shell scripts, SQL or related to automate and analyze large sets of data. Works with engineers, scientists, and other developers to design analytical methods and algorithms.
Evaluates code development in Python, MATLAB, SQL or related of model components using modern model evaluation techniques, software debugging, calculation and assessment of condition metrics, field data collection, and GIS data processing.
