One of our clients in the banking industry is looking to hire a Data Architect with a strong background in financial data systems and architecture. This role is responsible for designing, structuring, and maintaining data systems, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and security. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial services, particularly in retail banking, and be proficient in data modeling, SQL, and data visualization tools. Responsibilities Create functional and technical documentation for data provisioning pipelines (e.g., source-to-target mappings, data environment diagrams). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions. Conduct ad-hoc analyses and deep dives into financial data and projects. Collect, organize, and analyze financial data from multiple sources. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in financial databases and systems. Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance data analysis efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in data architecture or a related role. Strong knowledge of financial concepts, accounting principles, and financial markets, especially in retail banking. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel). Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R is a plus. Core Requirements Proven experience creating functional and technical documentation for data provisioning pipelines. Experience with source-to-target mappings and a basic understanding of data modeling and ETL processes. Intermediate knowledge of banking and financial products. Intermediate-level data analysis skills using SQL or Python. Nice to Have Bilingual proficiency in Spanish. Professional certifications in finance or data domains. Continuous learning mindset and awareness of industry trends and technologies.
