Job DescriptionThe Manager, Data Validation is responsible forthe design and delivery of the MAST data validation process for allbrands within the Carnival Corporation. This data includes order &maintenance history, master data, ship inventory, and budgetinformation essential for overall analysis and gathering ofinsights into realizing major benefits to the company. This keyrole will provide SME knowledge and ensure the consistent executionand reporting of progress to all program stakeholders. Reporting tothe Senior Director of Maritime Asset Strategy, this role will beresponsible for managing data quality assurance, tracking deliveryof tasks on-time during ship deployment delivery schedules andmanaging a team of technical resources and analysts.
JobFunctions:
Define, develop, deliver, and improve the process for ensuringthe quality assurance of MAST data during the ship database buildphase of the MAST Program. Oversee the end-to-end data validation process for core,reference and transactional data which includes receiving andactioning data queries from database build partners; designingvalidation test cases and ensuring they are executed in line withthe process; reporting test case outcomes; working with internalstakeholders to review test case outcomes and get Brand SME inputas required. Manage team tasks and schedules to support ship deploymentproduction go-live phases which require validation & testing ofscripts provided by internal developers and 3rd party vendors. Manage internal resources and 3rd party vendor teams invalidating ship database builds in alignment with the project planensuring adherence to data quality standards. Manage and monitor tasks in the Project Plan using MS Projectsor equivalent to track progress and identify dependencies withother projects and initiatives. Manage and provide coaching to team members. Conductperformance reviews for each direct report and be able tocommunicate effectively on potential areas for improvement. Communicate and present team status to program stakeholders andbrand representatives regularly. Identify and drive improvements in processes or technology andfeed these back to the Senior Director for alignment andimplementation. Work alongside Subject Matter Experts, Project Leads, Brandrepresentatives and external partners to gather businessrequirements, document decisions and execute/report on results.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems orequivalent. Years & or Area of Professional experience: 5+ years ofmanagement/supervisory experience. 5+ years of data analysisexperience. Experience working with large datasets and dataanalysis.
Critical Professional Related Technical/Computer Skills:
MSProjects, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Jira, Devops.
Licenses/Certifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) uponhire preferred.
Microsoft Office Specialist:
Excel Associate uponhire preferred. Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher upon hirepreferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Expert analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strongcommunicator in all forms across all levels of the organization.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to remain in a stationary positionat a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Travel:
Notravel.
Work Conditions:
Work primarily in a climate-controlledenvironment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. May berequested to work a different shift. Position requires supportingmultiple brands within Carnival Corporation in different time zonesand locations. In some cases, there may be a need to support shipdeployments during off hours/weekends. This position is classifiedas ‘in-office.’ As an in-office role, it requires employees to workfrom a designated Carnival office in South Florida from Tuesdaythrough Thursday. Employees may work from home on Mondays andFridays. Some positions may require additional in-office time eachweek and final schedule is determined by your leader. Candidatesmust be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft.
