Information Systems Associate City of St. Petersburg – 3.8 Saint Petersburg, FL Job Details Full-time $18.85 – $28.77 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications iRecruitment Customer service English Information Systems High school diploma or GED Typing Grammar Experience Entry level Full Job Description This is important public contact work in the St. Pete Service Center receiving and processing public inquiries for information and referral to City personnel or City services via the telephone, electronic or postal mail, or in person. Work includes the efficient handling of public and interdepartmental service requests using sophisticated telecommunication and computer equipment; considerable public contact; providing routine answers to questions, obtaining more detailed information from City departments and outside agencies; initiating and reviewing action orders; and properly referring complaints. This position requires the exercise of considerable patience, tact, and judgment; considerable knowledge of City agencies, functions, operations and policies; and the ability to perform in accordance with established practices to ensure an excellent quality of service to City agencies and the public.

Applicants must:

Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency. Be able to operate a multi-line telephone set, computer terminal, and information tracking and research software. Possess public contact, typing, telephone call handling and customer service experience. Be able to establish and maintain effective telephone and in person working relationships. Are able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing. Acknowledge this position is designated as Emergency Critical (EC) and if hired into the position, you must be immediately available to the department before, during, and after a declared emergency and/or disaster. Desirable Qualifications.

Preferred applicants:

Have some knowledge of the geography of the City and some knowledge of English grammar, including written and verbal communications. Are able to prepare and maintain routine reports and records. Selection Process
