Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop scalable, robust, and high-performance data & platform architectures using Azure and Databricks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Lead the design and implementation of data models, data warehouses, data lakes and lakehouse with batch and streaming data
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms.
Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to improve performance and reduce costs.
Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources, incl. streaming data
Wrt BFS sector in the US and globally- Implement best practices for data governance, data management, and data lifecycle management.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data architects and data engineers.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data architecture, Azure, databricks and competing platforms
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certified Databricks Data Engineer Professional and accredited Platform Architect
Min.14+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related role.
Extensive experience with Azure data engineering services (e.g., ADF, ADLS, Synapse, Integration services etc)
Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with programming languages such as Python or Java.
Experience with data governance and data security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
