extension support. The Data Steward
- Product Owner position is a high-performing role in support of data management functions for a particular data domain within USIS.
This individual will work within a team of data owners who serve as subject matter experts for the data sources, to ensure the appropriate quality, metadata management and internal and external support are in accordance with our service level commitments. Candidates should be courageous, tenacious, creative, optimistic and curious, with an appetite for growth in business-minded leadership. This role is located in Atlanta (Georgia).
Data Domain Expertise:
Understand the lifecycle of the Equifax data sources across all stages from ingestion to production
Business Transformation:
Drive the support of migration activities as we move our data sources into the cloud. This will include running validation routines, comparing data results between legacy and cloud systems and working across different USIS teams to coordinate and track project deliverables
Data Quality Monitoring:
Own the development of automated, threshold-based reports that efficiently and reliably identify areas for further investigation and improvement. Act on the findings of these reports in a timely manner, prioritizing effort based on business impact.
Metadata Management:
In keeping with USIS Data program standards, and in line with the service level commitments for each data source, support the maintenance of our metadata management artifacts (e.g., schemas, business rules, data dictionaries) reposed in Collibra. Business Partnership and Consulting
- Shares basic knowledge of the markets, strategies, and operating environments for a product Product Thinking

- Developing detailed knowledge of the data and technology supporting a data product What you’ll do Understands processes within the data pipeline, supports at least 1 or more key processes within the data product pipeline.
Participates in and contributes to initiatives that improve business use of the data Understands one or more data product requirements (discoverability, accessibility, trustworthiness (quality, privacy, etc.), self-describability, interoperability, and security), and supports implementation of a supporting practice with other groups. Creates communication materials about the data product. Understands key data product financial metrics, suggests optimization efforts. Participates in new data product initiatives What experience you need Bachelor’s degree in related discipline; Master’s Degree strongly preferred 2
- 5 years of analysis, product management, and/or consulting experience regarding data, preferably financial services data Familiarity with cloud and on prem technologies, structured and unstructured data, streaming and reposed data Familiarity with SQL and BI Tools (Looker, BigQuery, Tableau, etc.
