The Data Governance Senior Manager will lead and manage all Corporate Functions Data Office governance activities and will have responsibility for data acquisition, improving the quality and managing the protection of sensitive data and information assets. The position will focus on establishing and ensuring adherence to data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the integrity, security, and quality. Serves as primary liaison with global enterprise data governance team. The Data Governance Senior Manager serves as a point of escalation for governance, new data requirements, data quality and protection issues and will work closely with the functional areas to improve the quality and value of core data assets as well as support the strategic requirements of the department.
Responsibilities:
Implementing Governance Policies:
Implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with the Invesco Enterprise Data standards.
Onboard Data Onto Tools and Technologies:
Oversee the onboarding of data onto data governance tools and technologies to support data lineage, metadata management, and data quality monitoring.
Implement Data Governance Structure:
support the functional areas with implementing data responsibilities and processes.
Ensuring Data Quality:
Enforce data quality standards, processes and monitoring to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across all systems and platforms. Collaborating with
Cross-Functional Teams:
Work with various cross-functional departments to define data governance requirements and source data required by the
Corporate Function Domain Conducting Assessments and Audits:
Perform data governance assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks related to data management.
Providing Guidance and Support:
Offer guidance and support to business units on data governance matters, serving as a subject matter expert
Driving Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage stakeholders to integrate data management practices across the organization
Training and Education:
Deliver training sessions to educate stakeholders on data governance concepts and requirement
Managing Corporate Functions Data Office:
manage on-shore and off-shore Corporate Functions Data Office team members in implementing data governance, writing data quality rules, monitoring data quality, etc.
Project Management:
Lead data governance projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and successful completion.

Technical Skills SQL
Data Modeling
Microsoft Power BI
R (Programming Language)
Data Engineering Relationship Management Ability to manage senior relationships across all the Business and Functional areas
Ability to develop cooperative and constructive working relationships
Ability to handle complaints, settle disputes and resolve conflicts and negotiate with others
Collaborative team player orientation towards work relationships, strong culture awareness Project Oversight and Decision-ing Highly developed skills in priority setting and alignment of project priorities with organization’s strategy

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
10+ years of experience in data management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as CDMP, CISA, or PMP.
Skills:
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; proficiency in data management tools and technologies.
