T are many federal requirements that all research institutions must meet in order to conduct human subject research. Job Summary
This position performs a variety ofplex duties involved in a clinical research study setting in support of research initiatives; and assists the Clinical Trials Office as a whole. Duties include, but are not limited to, providing continual support to the clinical research trials to be conducted within federal, state, and local regulations. This position will also be responsible for studies assigned by PI, patient data collection and entry. Responsible for ensuring all data is handled in accordance to HIPAA and all other applicable AU regulations, policies, and procedures. Performs high quality data abstraction that is accurate and suitable for statistical analysis. Data meets the protocol specific parameters andply with all other applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to
Perform data entries for assigned databases andor industry sponsored research studies. Retrieval and data evaluation for research studies to include, but are not limited to, screening logs and patient accrual as well as data accrual.
Accurately enter, transmit, retrieve and manage research study data. Accurately enters electronic study data into case report forms according to research study requirements for all studies. Data test eCRFs ensuringpliance with protocol and institutional processes and procedures as well as research sponsors. Collaborates with research team to respond to PI, Sponsor, andor Research Monitor(s) questions. Handle all research study data in accordance to HIPAA and all other applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
Trains for each required study for proper electronic data entry.
Assist with data retrieval and respond to all queries in a timely manner. Make any necessary corrections to data entry in a timely acceptable manner as directed by the PI, Sponsor, Clinical Trials Manager or Clinic Research Nurse.
Create and maintain a database of subject information and generate reports.
Assure consents are signed and dated correctly. Process and interpret data from various sources for input on the studies.
Perform all other related dutiestasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
OR
Two years of college level coursework with two years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in clinical research, medical data management, informed consent development and protocol submission; Working knowledge of research budget preparation; Certified Clinical Research Professional (i.e. CCRC, CCRA or CCRP); Previous grant writing and management experience; Familiarity with Augusta University policies and procedures and IRB human assurance requirements or similar.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and otherputer softwaredatabases.
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbalmunication skills.

Shift Days; Monday Friday (Work outside of normal business hours may be required). Salary Minimum $. hourly. Pay Band B
Salary to bemensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimummidpoint) of the position.
