JOB GOAL
To provide coordination for Information Technology Systems and Digital Learning. This position is responsible for developing short-term and long-range initiatives and direction for the school system.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Must hold a master’s degree or higher in education or related field. Successful, relevant experience serving elementary and secondary required. Experience working with adult learners is required. Be able to demonstrate the ability to draw conclusions from student achievement data in order to plan for the future through understanding the types of education programs, expertise, and process adjustments that will be needed to alleviate gaps and meet the needs of all customers. Strong Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, ClassLink, secure data transfer techniques and relational databases preferred. Experience in data analysis and the organization and implementation of major school initiatives. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written form. Must have a strong work ethic, be self-directed, and be self-motivated.
JOB DUTIES

Ensures the collaboration and cooperation between the Office of Technology, other Departments, and Schools. Collaborate with the Lead Registrar and school registrars to ensure appropriate and consistent information practices. Builds data visualizations to help schools/Departments understand their performance. Build automated workflows to streamline processes and improve data accuracy. Approve digital resource acquisition request and ensure appropriate configurations. Manage multiple information systems for optimal use and appropriate access control. Serve as a key member of the District Cybersecurity team. Supports the maintenance of automated identity management and processes to ensure account security. Supports school leadership in the use of instructional technology as a tool for the collection and analysis of student performance data to support the formative assessment process. Provides technology leadership and guidance in planning for technology-rich learning experiences. Provides guidance on and oversees the completion of rostering in digital resources and State/Federal Reporting. Maintains Facilities data and DOE user accounts. Leads and guides the Information Services Personnel within the Technology Department. Observes, consults with and assists Digital Learning Specialists in practicing sound coaching strategies and other job-related duties/responsibilities. Supervises staff as required. Assists in the direct support of the HELP Desk. Collaboratively leads the development of and implementation of the RCPS Technology Plan. Conducts themself in the best interest of students in support of the district’s mission statement. Attends training sessions, staff development activities, and required meetings. Complies with all requirements for mandatory reporting of child abuse, illegal harassment, or any criminal activity for which the employee becomes aware. Performs other duties as assigned by
