Summary:
The Information Systems Director is responsible for overseeing the development, support, and operations of information systems. This role provides strategic direction, supervises technical teams, ensures system reliability and security, and collaborates with internal and external partners to deliver optimal technology solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage operations related to the development, production, and support of information systems. Supervise teams responsible for programming, computer operations, vendor relations, and IT support services. Analyze organizational needs and identify optimal system solutions to meet business objectives. Develop and implement standards, procedures, and performance metrics for systems operations. Oversee the full lifecycle of information systems projects—including design, construction, testing, implementation, and ongoing support. Create and manage project work plans, timelines, and deliverables, regularly reporting progress to senior leadership. Ensure timely and effective resolution of information systems issues, maintaining strong customer service standards. Participate in organizational activities such as monthly meetings, internal committees, and policy development and updates. Lead training initiatives for IT staff and interns to ensure continuous professional development and alignment with evolving technologies. Regular reporting to direct supervisor.
