The Director of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) Information Systems serves as the database administrator for the DAR Constituent Relationship Management system, the College’s software application system of record for alumni, parents, trustees, honorary degree recipients, friends of the College, and others. The Director is also responsible for leading the acquisition, implementation, configuration, administration, and integration management for the full suite of DAR function-specific application systems, data storage systems, and reporting systems that additionally support the fundraising and outreach/engagement growth strategies of the College and external constituencies requiring information from these systems. The Director manages, sets priorities, provides direction for, and partners with a team of Systems & Data Analysts who support program area initiatives and goals with data configuration, extraction, and reporting required to analyze progress and drive action. The Director is responsible for building collaborative partnerships within DAR, with IT and other key offices across the College, and with technology vendors to direct the effective strategic development of the organization’s systems and data assets.
Education/Skills Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred certification:
Project Management
Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge (fundamental or professional) Strong project management and implementation process knowledge for large and small system/technical projects.
Excellent organization and planning skills using current productivity tools with the ability to set priorities and balance a high-volume of detail-oriented concurrent tasks.
Proven effectiveness as a leader, manager/motivator of technical staff, team builder, and team player.
Clear and effective communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to clearly convey information to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Experience Requirements and/or
Equivalents:
7-10 years in a similar role required. 10+ years experience preferred. Hands-on system administration and systems/data analysis skills for operational enterprise software applications and relational databases with the ability to connect strategic plans/goals with requirements for and configuration of data and software solutions.
Advanced experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office software applications including Excel, Access and Power BI.
Extensive experience with database systems, preferably Raiser’s Edge NXT.
Standard Work Days and Hours:
This is an exempt position requiring time commitment necessary to satisfactorily complete requirements. Hours are primarily Monday through Friday; 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with occasional work after 5:00 pm or weekends. Currently this is a 1.0 FTE. Minimal travel required.
COMPENSATION
The hiring range for this position is expected to be $103,500 – $118,500.
