  • PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
  • This role plays a crucial role in leading and overseeing the design, integration, and maintenance of Sedgwick data and platform architecture .

This leadership position is responsible for the future proof design of seamless dataflows across various platforms and aligning integration approaches with the overall enterprise architecture and minimize costs. The Tech Director will collaborate closely with the Enterprise Architecture , Security , DBA and product teams and the rest of the Sedgwick businesses to understand their data requirements and guide designing of solutions that support informed decision-making, operational efficiency, and business growth. This position is also responsible for monitoring resource utilization costs of various data tools and platforms.

  • ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES MAY INCLUDE
  • + Strategic thought leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Data and Platform Architecture team, ensuring alignment between the organization’s enterprise architecture and Sedgwick data strategy.

+ Data architecture design: Oversee the future proof design and development of data models and platform architectures that support cross-platform dataflows and integration + Business intelligence: work with closely BI teams in performance tuning data models and monitor consumption costs. + Integration management: Ensure efficient and secure integration of data across various platforms, aligning with enterprise architecture standards and best practices + Collaboration and communication: Work closely with product teams to understand their data requirements and design solutions that meet those requirements effectively + Governance and security: Implement and enforce data governance policies and practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance + Performance monitoring: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data integration and platform architecture, ensuring continuous improvement + Technology evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance the data architecture and integration capabilities + Team development: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning + Stakeholder engagement: Engage with senior leadership and other stakeholders to communicate the benefits, progress, and strategic direction of data architecture initiatives + Project management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of data architecture projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget •

  • + Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations. + Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions. + Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s or Ph.D.) in a relevant field is preferred + 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within data architecture, data integration, or a related field

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is (
