Job Description As a Field Biology Data Manager in North America, you will enable the transformation of Crop Protection (CP) field biological data into knowledge with an emphasis on experimental design, and data quality and management in support of the CP Research and Development community. This role supports statistical analysis and report preparation for CP product submissions and additional data management and queries for existing commercial products. This role provides regional input and leadership to global CP R D Functional Excellence and Bioinformation and Trialing Services (BITS).

Duties:

Conduct data analysis and statistical modeling for individual protocols and multi-trial, multi-year studies to support product advancement, registration, and lifecycle management. Collaborate with data scientists to implement advanced statistical practices and optimize experimental designs for field trials. Execute complex data queries and prepare comprehensive reports to address research, marketing, regulatory, and sales inquiries. Lead data quality initiatives, including automating quality checks and establishing KPIs, to enhance data reliability and reusability. Prepare and compile data for regulatory submissions, data compensation, and reviews, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Serve as a key user for global data systems, providing training and support on biological data software and tools to field trialing, product biology, and technical marketing teams.

Education:
Minimum:

An M.S. degree with 3 years relevant experience.

Preferred:

Ph.D. degree with 1-year relevant experience.

Relevant fields:

agricultural or plant-science related field of study (Agronomy, Horticulture, Epidemiology, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Weed Science,) with an emphasis on statistics and data analysis. Proficiency in R, SAS, JMP, and SQL, with hands-on experience in data science and analytics. Excellent understanding of biological data types, experimental design, and advanced statistical concepts, including multivariate analysis. Experience in developing applications for field biology analytics and applying sound statistical principles to protocol development. Demonstrated ability to standardize and summarize biological data, with a focus on data quality and management. Knowledge of relational and non-relational data systems, coupled with an understanding of best practices in scientific data management.
