POSITION

Allspring Global Investments is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Product Manager to join our Digital team. If you have a passion for customer data management, marketing automation, and data-driven decision-making, this role may be a great fit for you. We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 3 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Product strategy and vision: Develop and maintain a clear roadmap and long-term vision for the CDP and other customer-data driven products based on market research, user feedback, competitive analysis, and technology-driven initiatives.
Product lifecycle and vendor management: Oversee products from requirements through launch and beyond, ensuring they meet performance metrics and continue to satisfy customer needs.
Requirements research: Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping, technical design, and iterative product development with design and engineering.
Feature prioritization: Manage the product backlog, define feature requirements, and make decisions on development prioritization based on business value and customer impact.
Stakeholder communication: Regularly update internal and external stakeholders on product status, upcoming features, and strategic direction.
Development partnership: Collaborate with engineering and development teams to align product vision with technical execution. Participate in development ceremonies like stand-ups, retros, and releases.
Analysis and reporting: Develop KPIs for products and users. Participate in agile development alongside engineering and marketing production teams as the business lead.

CANDIDATE

We’re seeking individuals with experience in implementing Salesforce Data Cloud or similar platforms. The ideal candidate is eager for continuous professional growth and can deliver complex, end-to-end Data Cloud implementations from strategy and design to data ingestion, segment creation, and activation. Your role will be crucial in moving quickly from ideation to execution and ensuring seamless operations. In this role, you will work closely with our web and email execution product managers to conceptualize data infrastructure, analyze data, and build strategies for personalization and audience segmentation. You will define how our WebOps team (marketers, sales, and developers) collaborates on Salesforce systems (Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, CRM) and content data systems (Optimizely, Seismic), helping them overcome challenges and define a long-term vision for data functionality. Your expertise in data management and analysis systems, governance standards, and processes around personalization and segmentation will be key to driving our vision forward; bringing the most impactful customer experiences to life. Success in this role relies on your ability to build and maintain productive relationships with both business and development teams while managing multiple projects, processes, and systems within specific timelines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Background in Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Analysis, or Product Management
Proven experience in managing Salesforce Data Cloud or similar customer data platform
Familiarity with Salesforce’s technical architecture: APIs, Standard and Custom Objects, Proficient with ANSI SQL and supported functions in Salesforce Data Cloud
Fundamental knowledge of digital marketing services and platforms including email marketing, analytics, CMS and CRM systems (Salesforce, Data Cloud, SFMC, Optimizely/Episerver, ODP, Adobe a plus)
Strong understanding of data management concepts, including data quality, data distribution, data modeling and data governance
Strong proficiency toward presenting complex business and technical concepts using visualization aids such as Tableau, Power BI, ERDs
Experience with audience segmentation and targeting strategies
Strong verbal and stakeholder-facing communication skillset
Great proficiency at learning complex software solutions
Experience in delivering projects using Agile-based methodologies
Experience establishing best practices for product and process management documentation
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Background in the financial services industry
Experience with hyperscale data platforms (ex: Snowflake)
Familiarity with APEX
Knowledge of GDPR and other data privacy regulations
Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that resembles a start-up atmosphere.
Familiar with the ADKAR change methodology a plus

Base Pay Range:

$130,000 – $160,000 Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
