The State of New Hampshire, Department of Education, Division of Education Analytics and Resources & Bureau of Assessment and Accountability has a full-time vacancy for an Assessment and Accountability Database Manager.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS

Scope of Work:
To act as application development specialist with respect to application and database design for assessment and accountability functions; performs analysis, design, and translation of programming functions into information systems solutions to support assessment and accountability programs, systems, and data collection.
Accountabilities:
Designs, creates, and documents functional, system, and program specifications for Bureau of Assessment and Accountability Oversees the quality and design integrity of all assigned programming activities, including the delivery of functionality, data management, analysis, coding, unit and systems testing, debugging, test data preparation, implementation, and initial documentation. Develops, designs, and/or recommends software development standards; monitors adherence to standards by assigned staff. Prepares specifications documentation and maintains application software, assuring compliance with agency standards. Analyzes, designs, and implements data warehousing projects, implements business rules via stored procedures, middleware or other technologies and defines user interfaces and functional specifications. Responsible for verifying accuracy of data, and maintaining and supporting the assessment and accountability data Designs, defines, and creates data warehouse databases, designs, codes, tests and implements complex programs and scripts. Develops task plans and assists in the development of project plans; supports and coordinates tasks with all team members, assuring high quality and efficient delivery of software development work products. Maintains in-depth, working knowledge of application design for critical, large, complex Bureau applications Collaborates closely with technology leads to drive project and database strategy as well as on-time delivery of solutions and coordinates with IT departments to ensure the implementation and monitoring of assessment and accountability data
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent credential with at least 15 credit hours in the field of computer science. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience:
Six years’ experience as a computer programmer or systems analyst associated with a late generation medium or large scale on-line computer systems or computer networks similar to the recruiting agency; at least three years of which shall have been involved with systems analysis. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
License/Certification:
Must possess a valid driver’s license or access to statewide travel as needed.
