Job Description

Lead and manage the Data Engineering team by recruiting, mentoring, and developing data engineers to achieve both team and individual performance goals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Establish and maintain data flow and architecture frameworks within the marketing domain, ensuring compliance with standards for data modeling, metadata management, security, and legal regulations. Collaborate closely with multiple departments (e.g., Global HelloTech, Growth Marketing, Reactivations Marketing, MISO-NA), stakeholders, partners, and external marketing vendors to align data strategies and initiatives. Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Implement and advocate for best practices in data infrastructure, coding standards, testing protocols, deployment processes, and documentation within the team. Provide technical leadership and guidance to solve complex data-related challenges, enabling the team to deliver high-quality solutions. Identify opportunities for process enhancements and drive changes that improve efficiency, quality, and performance of data engineering activities. Foster transparent and efficient communication within the team and with external stakeholders to promote collaboration and alignment. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually enhance the team’s capabilities and the organization’s data engineering strategies.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or in a related role•All of the required experience must have included experience with: Python, PySpark, and SQL; developing data pipelines and workflows; mentoring team members and providing technical direction; working in a B2C subscription-based business within a highly regulated industry such as food, finance, or healthcare; working with Google Ads API, Facebook Ads API, or other paid marketing media APIs; AWS (S3, ECR), Databricks, and Snowflake; and defining and implementing data architecture frameworks, data modeling, and data governance practices.•This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our New York, NY office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.
