POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the supervision of the Managing Director of Evaluation and Quality, the Data Manager is responsible for enhancing the quality of programming and engagement in quality assurance, program evaluation, and data-driven quality improvement across the agency. The Data Manager will assist in building a culture of data-driven, continuous quality improvement by managing and evaluating program data and providing staff with easily accessible data summaries and recommendations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The Data Manager should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least 3-5 years of experience in collecting, monitoring, analyzing and reporting data, and previous experience in program evaluation and quality improvement. In addition, the Data Manager must be proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office to create data visualization reports and presentations; have strong oral and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in program evaluation and quality improvement; master’s degree in relevant field. Experience with data management systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify measurable goals and evaluation criteria for all program components Standardize and monitor reliability and validity of data collection and entry Prepare and present data visualization reports for different levels of staff (leadership, managers, and direct service staff) Continuously monitor and analyze data to provide data-driven recommendations for programming and continuous quality improvement Create and analyze community assessments and satisfaction surveys to determine participants’ needs and areas for improvement Engage in ongoing research and provide recommendations on best practices for content of programming and implementation Identify potential assessments and technology to measure and improve programming Support in identifying, sequencing, and developing professional development content; create courses for staff capacity building in our Learning Management System (LMS); track staff completion of internal and external trainings; support professional development efforts Collaborate with internal departments to identify measurable targets and goals for programs, and ensure processes are in place to collect and submit data in a timely manner to meet funders and organizational requirements Be accountable and hold staff accountable for implementing programs with fidelity, utilizing evidence-based practices whenever possible Engage in ongoing Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) to evaluate program data, determine strengths and areas for improvement and execute action steps to make improvements Collaborate with, assist in and do outreach at all Community Building activities to build and maintain external and internal partnerships that can benefit both participants and community members Maintain ongoing communication and follow-up with community partners Perform other related duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS
Standard hybrid environment (office site/home) that requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing and reaching. From time to time, there may be a need to travel between multiple sites consisting of school, office, and community center environments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The position requires constant communication with participants and co-workers and the exchange of accurate information in these situations. Frequent operation of a computer and other office equipment. Frequently stationary for long periods.
