The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, security, and accessibility of patient data while adhering to HIPAA regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of medical records management, crisis management, and patient care, particularly in settings involving special education and behavioral health. Responsibilities Manage and maintain comprehensive medical records for patients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of patient data to support clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper documentation of vital signs, medication administration, and other critical patient information. Implement data management protocols that enhance the quality of care for children with special needs or autism. Provide training and support to staff on data entry procedures and best practices for maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive information. Develop crisis management strategies to address potential data breaches or discrepancies in patient records. Monitor data systems for efficiency and effectiveness, recommending improvements as necessary. Requirements Proven experience in managing medical records or data within a healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with patient care practices, including vital signs monitoring and medication administration. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
