Job Description
TITLE:
Database Architect (Data Architect)

DUTIES:
Employ an end-to-end vision of how a logical data design will translate into one or more physical data repositories, and determine how the data will flow through the successive stages in its lifecycle. Address issues of data migration including validation, clean-up and mapping, and understand the importance of Data Dictionaries. Understand the importance and trade-offs involved in implementing and maintaining both conventional structured and unstructured data repositories.
LOCATION
Pittsburgh, PA (Full-time telework permitted)
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, IT or a related field. 5 years in any job title involving experience in software analysis, design, and hands-on application development.
Prior experience must include:
5 years of experience in Data Warehousing applications; 3 years using any Relational DB’s including Oracle, MySQL, DB2, SQL Server, or Teradata; 3 years of experience with UNIX; 3 years working in an Agile software development environment; 2 years of Health Insurance domain experience; 2 years of enterprise architecture experience using Big Data Technologies; 2 years of software development experience in Hadoop using Hive or Impala; 2 years API development using Python; 2 years working on Docker, Openshift, and Jenkins CICD technologies; 2 years of experience with shell scripting; and 2 years working experience with AWS. Full-time telework permitted. All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, which may also include a drug screen depending on work assignment.
SALARY:
$143,770.00 per year
