As the product leader for the Underwriting Data Platform, youwill own one of the companys strategic product areas that iscritical to the success of the business. You will find novel waysto identify, acquire, store, vend, analyze, and model large diversedatasets. You’ll be responsible for identifying problems andopportunities, collecting feedback from users, defining successcriteria, prioritizing features within a roadmap, and workingacross the company to deliver innovative data and modelingsolutions to support our underwriting goals. You will collaborateclosely with Actuarial Science, Underwriting, and Research toenhance our risk assessment and pricing methodologies, making oursystems and processes both faster and more accurate. Responsibilities Deliver data-driven solutions that driveunderwriting accuracy and efficiency Define metrics and goalsguiding the success of the underwriting data platform Develop along-term product vision and strategy, build a roadmap, andprioritize leveraging data and qualitative feedback Providetechnical thought leadership for the team by staying up to date onthe latest trends across, data, modeling, and AI Collaborate withactuarial science, underwriting, and research to improve ourpricing and decisioning models accuracy and performance, ensuringour offerings are competitive and compliant Partner withengineering, data science, design, and other product managers todefine products and services through detailed featurespecifications, and execute the roadmap Lead complex internalproduct launches to drive product adoption and impact,collaborating with cross-functional teams and building businessstakeholder relationships Skills and Qualifications 5 years ofexperience building and launching successful data-driven softwareproducts, taking them from an idea all the way to customer benefitDemonstrated ability to stay up-to-date on the latest data and AItechnologies and incorporating them into your product solutionsExpertise building and managing large-scale data and modelingplatforms An ownership mentality; the ability to lead independentlyand do what it takes to deliver great outcomes Ability toarticulate complex technical problems to stakeholders fromdifferent areas of the business, and drive decision alignment toactionable outcomes Ability to balance being hands-on and sweatingthe details and looking at the larger picture and driving thestrategic vision Experience analyzing and modelling large data setsto derive insights, and inform product decisions and processoptimization Bonus Points Experience building and launching dataand modeling platforms Experience with the business of insurance,or related regulated financial products Experience withcybersecurity or internet scan data Compensation Our compensationreflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.
The US base salary for this position ranges from $136,000/year inour lowest geographic market up to $203,000/year in our highestgeographic market. Consistent with applicable laws, an employeespay within this range is based on a number of factors, whichinclude but are not limited to relevant education, skills,job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience,credentials, and/or geographic location.
