Job Overview We are seeking a Strategic Senior Data Analyst to serve as the primary data resource for a key project management team, supporting multiple class action settlements simultaneously. This remote role demands a highly adaptable analyst capable of managing complex, evolving datasets with varying quality and structure. You will collaborate with project managers, data experts, and leadership to deliver actionable insights, reporting to the Data Analyst Manager while working closely with project teams. Key Responsibilities Analyze large, complex datasets (often millions of records) related to class action settlements.
Navigate ambiguous requirements through proactive communication and reasoned judgment.
Develop and refine data cleaning and validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Collaborate with project managers and legal teams to understand case-specific claim requirements.
Assess claim validity, identifying inconsistencies, fraud, or missing information.
Provide data-driven insights to support decisions on claim approvals, denials, or deficiencies.
Guide central data support members on collaborative tasks.
Create reports, visualizations, and dashboards for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Propose and implement process improvements for efficient data handling.
Maintain detailed documentation for processes, data structures, and decisions to ensure compliance and auditability. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Advanced SQL skills for querying and manipulating large datasets.
Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and automation.
Experience with unstructured or messy data, applying cleaning and validation techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adaptable to evolving requirements.
Ability to assess claim validity using structured and unstructured data.
Excellent communication skills to translate technical insights for legal and project teams.
High attention to detail to detect anomalies, patterns, and inconsistencies.
Resilience and a solutions-oriented mindset.
LEGAL SUPPORT EXPERIENCE IS A MUST HAVE
Preferred Qualifications Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Metabase, Power BI).
Experience with class action settlements or similar legal/financial data.
Familiarity with fraud detection in claim processing.
Knowledge of data warehouses, preferably Redshift or Postgres equivalents.
