Supportive colleagues and management who invest in your growth Data Center of Excellence (CoE) Lead is a pivotal role designed to drive the strategic execution of technical solutions within the Ignite Digital Services (IDS) portfolio. This position is responsible for advancing innovation, managing CoE-aligned resources, and fostering collaboration to ensure the successful delivery of data solutions that meet customer needs and align with IDS’s business objectives. The Data CoE Lead will focus on enhancing technical capabilities, developing best practices, and delivering measurable business value to our clients.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:

Drive the overall execution and strategic direction of the Data CoE, ensuring alignment with IDS’s goals and priorities. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the Data CoE
Partner with Market Leads, Senior Managers, and Task Order Managers to identify, develop and close on tactical business development opportunities related to the Data CoE. Assist in promoting Data CoE capabilities through demonstrations, customer innovation success stories, and use cases to existing and new customers
Provide Proposal/Capture support as related to the Data CoE’s scope. This includes technical solutioning and content creation, edits, reviews, providing past performance data and leading proposal activities for solicitations
Represent IDS at conferences and industry events.

Solutions Delivery:

Monitor the delivery of Data CoE-aligned solutions, ensuring project success through application of consistent methodology, robust solution architecture, and adherence to best practices. Assist Client Services with managing cost, schedule, performance, and risks
Collaborate with IDS technical SMEs (both in Client Services and DICE) to refine solution architectures and implement innovative approaches to meet customer challenges
Team and Resource Management
Assist Client Services with recruitment of technical positions outside of the hiring manager’s area of expertise to include building of job descriptions, candidate evaluation, and technical interviews
Collaborate with Client Services to balance technical resource alignment with demand signals across the IDS portfolio to maximize team impact and delivery outcomes
Lead and mentor employees aligned to and participating in the Data CoE to build high performers which can deliver technical solutions. Provide career management for select employees which report through the DICE Management structure (i.e. those engaged across multiple teams and task orders)
Standards, Best Practices, and Workforce Development
Work closely with DICE leadership to establish technical standards, best practices, and methodologies for solution delivery within scope of the Data CoE
Document and standardize successful strategies, methodologies, processes, and templates to increase efficiency and consistency across projects
Enhance IDS technical capabilities through targeted training sessions, workshops, and project involvement.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or
5+ years of leadership experience in technical solution delivery, including managing teams and projects in complex technical environments
Demonstrated expertise in the Data CoE-aligned domain to include skills related to: Data Lifecycle; Data Engineering; Data Modeling & Architecture, Data Management & Governance; AI/ML; Data Visualization
Proven ability to drive measurable business value through technical innovation
Strong stakeholder management skills with experience collaborating across both vertical and horizontal organizational levels
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while being flexible and adaptable to ever-changing business needs/requirements
Effective written and verbal communications skills with the ability to adjust context and level of detail for varied leadership, business, and technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced level certification in data/cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and/or Azure
Experience developing and implementing technical standards or best practices
Prior experience leading workforce development initiatives, including training or certification programs
Advanced knowledge of federal or Department of Defense (DoD) programs and requirements

Schedule:

Hybrid 1-2 days a week onsite in

Charleston, SC, Chesapeake, VA or San Diego, CA Salary:
