Job Description

Manager of Licensure and Data – Zucker School of Education The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina 171 Moultrie Street, Charleston, SC 29409 The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is seeking a Manager of Data and Licensure in the Zucker Family School of Education. The Manager of Data and Licensure in the Zucker Family School of Education (ZFSOE) reports to the Dean and is responsible for building and sustaining a robust culture of continuous improvement through the planning, preparation, administration, and implementation of all assessment-based initiatives and accreditation efforts within the ZFSOE related to its majors, minors, certificate programs, and continuing education offerings. The mission of the Zucker Family School of Education at The Citadel is to support the development and preparation of individuals who are knowledgeable about the learning process and learners who are effective, ethical, and reflective educators prepared to assume leadership roles in the profession and community. Further, with a focus on learner-centered education, they are effective in educating a diverse learner population to high academic standards. The mission is based on the School’s philosophy and conceptual model. Essential Responsibilities Assessment Initiatives Work with Dean, Division Coordinators, Program Coordinators, faculty and staff on assessment initiatives; including special projects, outreach efforts, and performance indicators Serve as university-wide liaison for School activities related to assessment (including Title II reporting) Lead the ZFSOE’s use of the assessment management system Liaise with the Office of Institutional Research (IR) and Career Center on annual projects and reports pertaining to students, completers, alumni, and employers Manage databases related to student progress, achievement, PRAXIS (certification), completion, and job acquisition; and prepare reports for internal and external agencies Accreditation Collect data/report generation/writing for

CAEP/CACREP

accreditation efforts including Specialty Professional Associations (SPA) Champion schoolwide efforts to maintain accreditation Liaise and serve as point of contact to external related to data reporting and generation, complete feasibility studies in preparation for new program creation, and engage in on-the-job learning Improvement Science Use external data sets to recommend new approaches to program development and delivery Work with organizational and school district partners in enhancement efforts through research to identify regional needs Publish briefs and statistical snapshots for marketing and communication purposes to internal and external entities Licensure Liaise with the student services manager on licensure issues Maintain databases for tracking aspects of clinical placements required for certification, accreditation, job placement, career advancement, PRAXIS, and alumni outreach Analyze Praxis data to understand trends & informed program improvement Create structure for recruitment outcome data Minimum Qualifications Must have a Bachelor’s degree Work experience in academic assessment, program review, or coordination of academic accreditation efforts Experience in K-16 education Demonstrated experience using assessment management systems to design and track assessment activities Uses statistical data to inform various stakeholders, make arguments, and problem-solve Ability to assist with the development of assessment tools and methods of measurement Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in relevant field Proficiency in Watermark products (LiveText and/or Via) Experience leading assessment and/or accreditation initiatives in a college environment Benefits of Working at The Citadel Extensive Health Plans Great Retirement Options Tuition Waiver Program Tuition Exchange Program Paid Parental Leave Employee Discounts Isle of Palms Beach Club Swain Family Boat Center Community Service Opportunities Read more about our benefits, on our HR website •Please note, in order to be considered for this role you must complete an online application at www.citadel.edu/careers• About The Citadel College The Citadel, also known as the Military College of South Carolina, is a public senior military college located in Charleston, South Carolina.
