The Federal Civilian business unit supportsmany customers spanning the federal, commercial, and nonprofitspace. PrimaryResponsibilities:

In this role, you will serve as an emergingsubject matter expert, while serving as an individual contributorthat exhibits a high level of trust, autonomy and empowerment. Withminimal oversight from leadership, you will be responsible forleading and monitoring the ability to meet scope, schedule anddelivery requirements and may support adjacent programs within thebusiness unit. A Staff Data Architect exhibits strong influentialskills to represent the data practice in planning sessions,advocating for the best technical solution, while communicatingtradeoffs. You will serve as the primary lead and proactivelycommunicate with stakeholders; while utilizing strong influentialskills to drive improvements in data architecture processes andpractices. Primary expectations of a Staff Data Architect include:

• Leads strategic and critical data analysis, summarizing findingsto provide program recommendations
• Owns overall data strategy andoversees data collection, organization, and storage for program(s)
• Identifies business components and translates requirements intofunctional BI portals and dashboards
• Presents on technical topicseffectively, articulating implementation complexity and other coststo inform business decisions
• Responsible for data governance,eliminating gaps and improving data maturity
• Aligns dataarchitecture and standardizes access patterns to make dataavailable to BI tools, apps, and websites
• Oversees and alignsdata organization, dictionary standardization, and glossarydevelopment with models
• Periodically travels to work with andpresent to clients, partners, and stakeholders
• Effectivelycommunicates on existing systems, design decisions, pastperformance, and a major history of the projects that they’ve beenpart of for bid-writing, tech demos, and other potentiallyclient-facing communications
• Serves as a mentor for dataanalysts, scientists, and architects
• Supports data team memberswith shipping features, providing direction and guidance
• Participates in technical depth interviews with new candidates,evaluates homework assignments

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’sdegree and 6 years of experience – 8 relevant years of experiencemay be substituted for education
• 2 years of experience in a dataarchitect or similar role
• Experience with modern dataarchitecture practices and emerging technologies in streaming,large-scale data processing, databases, ML, applied statistics, andvisualization technologies
• Experience solving complex businessproblems and understanding of the data architecture supporting them

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide rangeof factors including but not limited to skill set, level ofexperience, and responsibility.
