: The Director of SMC Experience (SMCX) Data & Communications is a strategic leader focused on driving student engagement, retention, and success. This role integrates data analysis with dynamic communications to enhance the student experience across the SMCX division. The Director oversees the use of the division’s CRM (Slate), manages digital communications, and implements innovative strategies to promote campus resources and events. This position serves as a key connector between departments, leading digital process improvements and communication efforts that build a vibrant and informed student community.

Create dashboards and generate actionable insights that inform retention and engagement strategies. Lead digital process improvement initiatives across SMCX using Slate or related platforms. Lead content development for social media, digital signage, and select web pages to drive student awareness and participation. Support graphic design and photography needs for events and promotions. Grow and engage student audiences through creative digital campaigns and social media initiatives. Oversee XHype, the SMCX student brand ambassador program, developing student leaders and ensuring peer-driven content is relevant and impactful. : This is a full-time, on-campus position. This role requires in-person collaboration with students, faculty, and staff. Occasional evening and weekend hours are expected for campus events and special projects.

: Bachelor’s degree required. 2-5 years of experience in communications, CRM management, or data reporting (Slate experience preferred). Proven ability to manage multi-platform communication strategies. Familiarity with data visualization tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI) and website content management systems.
