Job Summary and Qualifications The Director Data Enablement & Governance will lead efforts to enhance data accessibility, usability, and governance across the organization. This role is central to ensuring that the enterprise effectively benefits from and leverages the company’s data assets in alignment with the overall Data Strategy. By driving the adoption of best practices, fostering a data-driven culture, and ensuring robust governance, the Director will help enable business teams to access trusted, high-quality data for decision-making, analytics, and innovation. This position will manage the company’s Data Catalog as a product, ensuring it meets stakeholder needs, facilitates intake and prioritization of data governance work, and drives overall enablement for data usage. The Director will collaborate with business and technology teams to streamline data access, promote self-service capabilities, and improve data literacy across the company. By developing governance frameworks, enhancing metadata management, and enabling data product adoption, this role will ensure that data is not only well-governed but also actionable and valuable for enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.

Major Responsibilities:

Self-Service Enablement Promote and support the use of self-service analytics tools for business users. Ensure proper documentation and training materials are available for self-service capabilities. Collaborate with IT and data teams to streamline access to high-value data assets. Intake & Prioritization Process Design and manage a structured intake process for governance requests and initiatives Prioritize work based on business impact, regulatory requirements, and strategic alignment Maintain transparency by providing updates and tracking progress on intake requests Data Catalog Ownership Collaborate with business users to enhance catalog usability and drive engagement. Define and maintain a roadmap for improving the data catalog’s capabilities and adoption. Ensure data assets are accurately documented, classified, and searchable. Data Literacy & Training Design and deliver training programs to enhance data literacy across different user groups. Develop user guides and best practice documentation for data governance tools. Foster a data-driven culture by promoting the importance of data quality and governance. Tooling & Enablement Strategy Evaluate and recommend tools to improve metadata management, data cataloging, and governance. Ensure the integration of governance tools with existing data platforms. Drive adoption of new tools by developing user training and support processes.

Requirements:
